I’ve been a customer of Broadfields Garage for 20 years. Firstly with my Classic 1959 SeriesII Land Rover, and for the last 18 months, with my (new to me) 2010 Discovery 4.
Paul and all the staff at Broadfields are absolutely first class. They will always go the extra mile to meet customer’s needs.
From my long association with them, I know that there is very rarely a problem with a Land Rover vehicle they can’t fix, and they will always be honest in their appraisal of a problem, and the likely costs involved.
In my view, there is no better Independent Land Rover specialist in the Essex/Hertfordshire area.
They’re always very busy, which is a testament to the loyalty of their customer base. I’d give them 10 stars if I could!

Absolutely fantastic. My Landrover discovery sport timing chain snapped as I drove on the A12. Fearing my car needing a new engine i got it recovered and dropped off at Broadfields. Paul sorted it and I had it back with chain sorted. A matter of months later the curse of the discovery sport struck again. My turbo had failed and a garage in Halstead allegedly fixed it. That last less than a month. I tried local garages who told me it was a DPF fault. Once again Paul took a look only to find the turbo fitted was a bodged refurb from God knows where. Paul ordered a new one and I got my car back again after again being misinformed by so many other garages. Can't recommend more. So grateful. The new & the rip-off from Halstead MOT that cost be £1500 !!

Recently paid for a health check on my L322 and upon collecting my car I was met with a bill for the health check plus an oil change which I hadn’t authorised.
The reason for this was cited that the oil level gauge wasn’t working, however that wasn’t and still isn’t a problem. I also asked for the few issues that had been found to be priced and a quote sent over. This never happened. Overall a disappointing experience.

I have a Range Rover Vogue which had its electrics completely immobilised, as a result of a rat infestation, which was only discovered by Paul later on. The RAC couldn’t do anything with it and after a conversation with Paul he offered his help and was gracious and kind enough to take on a job many would have shyed away from. I suspect he probably wish he had, at some stages, given the headache of a job it was.
The RAC had to drag it onto a recovery vehicle and dropped it to Broadfields. Paul set to work and diagnosed the issues, replacing several wiring looms and recoding all the keys. He got it all working and did it at a very sensible price. This is my first visit to Paul’s but I will say he is a consummate professional and his knowledge and expertise is second to none. If you have a Land Rover don’t go anywhere else. Paul will save you money and get the job done properly. He’s also a really nice guy. Thanks a million Paul. You’ve got a customer for life.

Just had my front diff (PTU) replaced here , dropped off in the morning and was ready by lunchtime. Priced very reasonably and excellent service. Will be back for more work when needed

First class and 100 per cent honest diagnostics resulting in me no paying a penny to them, 3 other garages were willing to rip me off fir up to 14 hours labour to resolve a problem I actually never had

Paul provides a brilliant service at a very reasonable price, providing access to the land rover diagnostic equipment without the feeling of being ripped off that I always had when using the main dealer services. He has been very supportive and patient with a rather tricky fault, sharing his thoughts and insight whilst working to resolve the fault, and trying his best to avoid very expensive replacement part costs. I can't recommend highly enough.

Great service. I have used them for several years and never can fault the garage. They pick up my car if needed. They do a professional job and do the works that needs to be done not any work might make them money. I feel that the bill always reflects the work done, not padded out, and the standard and quality of work is great. I trust the guys with my car and my money! Well done for a great service guys! Always a great service from Paul and the team. Superb knowledge/experience and fast, correct diagnosis of faults first time without firing the parts cannon. Best specialist LR mechanics I've been to. Very accomodating, but as with any great garage always very busy, loan cars sometimes available.
I'm a member of a few forums and Broadfields has a well deserved reputation for first class service, got initial recommendation by word of mouth and not disappointed. Been taking my D3 there for nearly 5 years and wouldn't go anywhere else.

Broadfields have looked after my company vehicle for the past 7 years and I would never go anywhere else. Even recently when my vehicle broke down Paul and the guys went out of their way to make sure I was back on the road as quickly as possible.

I just purchased a used Range Rover and called Broadfields to get enquire about future servicing and some advice and see about getting the car checked over to ensure everything was working ok and get a second opinion on it's mechanical condition. Paul at Broadfields was very helpful. I took the vehicle down and he gave it a thorough looking over and a short test drive. I got great service and am now more confident with my purchase and that everything is mechanically sound. Thank you Paul! I have no hesitation in recommending Broadfields Garage.
